Rashtriya Ayurveda Vidyapeeth to Hold 30th National Seminar in Delhi

  • Rashtriya Ayurveda Vidyapeeth, an autonomous organisation under the Ministry of Ayush, will organise its 30th National Seminar in New Delhi.

  • Theme: Management of Illness and Wellness in Paediatrics through Ayurveda.

Governor of Nagaland: Ajay Kumar Bhalla

  • President Droupadi Murmu has appointed Manipur Governor Ajay Kumar Bhalla to discharge the functions of Nagaland Governor in addition to his own duties.

Article 153:

  • There shall be a Governor for each State.

  • Provided that nothing in this article shall prevent the appointment of the same person as Governor for two or more States.

  • Article 155:

  • The President, not the state government or any other body, appoints the Governor

  • After demise of the Governor of Nagaland La. Ganesan, the President, has appointed Mr Bhalla as the Governor of the state.

NDA Candidate for Vice Presidential Election

  • Maharashtra Governor CP Radhakrishnan will be the NDA’s candidate for the upcoming Vice-Presidential Election.

  • The Vice President of India is a constitutional office, and the provisions related to it are found in the Indian Constitution under Articles 63 to 73.

SLINEX-25

  • The sea phase of the twelfth edition of the Sri Lanka-India Naval Exercise (SLINEX-25) is underway in western waters off Colombo. 

  • Indian Navy Ships: fleet tanker INS Jyoti and destroyer INS Rana

  • Sri Lanka Navy: SLNS Vijayabahu and SLNS Sayura.

Mountaineer Kabak Yano

  • Mountaineer Miss Kabak Yano successfully climbed Mount Elbrus, the highest peak in Russia and Europe. Kabak Yano is a woman climber from Arunachal Pradesh. She etched her name in history by summiting Mount Everest.

  • Yano becomes 5th women from the State to climb the world’s highest peak and 1st woman from the Nyishi Community to achieve such feat.

Ankita Dhyani

  • Olympian Ankita Dhyani broke the women’s 2000m steeplechase national record, winning gold at the Grand Slam Jerusalem athletics meet in Israel.

  • Nikita recorded a time of 6 minutes 13.92 seconds, surpassing the previous national record of 6 minutes 14.38 seconds set by Parul Chaudhary.
