India Reaches Historic Milestone: 250 GW Installed Non-Fossil Capacity

Aizawl becomes the fourth northeastern capital to join the Indian Railways network.

  • Prime Minister Narendra Modi will inaugurate the Bairabi-Sairang new railway line project during his visit to Mizoram.

  • The rail line will connect the Capital of Mizoram, Aizawl with the Indian Railways network for the first time in history. 

  • Over 51-kilometer rail line has been constructed at a cost of around 8 thousand crore rupees. 

  • Aizawl becomes the fourth northeastern capital city after Guwahati, Agartala, and Itanagar to be connected to the Indian Railways network.

AIIMS, First Govt Medical College in India to Train on da Vinci Robotic System

  • AIIMS New Delhi has launched the da Vinci Surgical Robot at its SET Facility (Skills, E-Learning & Telemedicine).

  • Marks a major step in robotic surgery training in India.

  • First da Vinci system installed for training at a government medical college in India.

  • Provided by Intuitive Surgical under an MoU.

  • AIIMS Delhi is now the only institute in India with two robotic systems dedicated to training.

  • Already has a Hugo robotic trainer from Medtronic.

Adi Sanskriti Digital Platform

  • Launched by: Ministry of Tribal Affairs

  • Launch Event: Beta version unveiled at Bharat Mandapam, New Delhi

  • Purpose: Preserve tribal artforms, promote cultural heritage, support sustainable livelihoods

Objective:

  • Blend tradition with modern tech

  • Empower tribal artisans

Components:

Adi Sanskriti is built on three main pillars:

  • Adi Vishwavidyalaya (Digital Tribal Art Academy): Offers 45 courses on tribal dance, music, painting, crafts, and folklore. These courses are designed for learners globally to experience tribal traditions digitally.

  • Adi Sampada (Socio-Cultural Repository): Hosts over 5,000 curated documents across five themes—dance, painting, textiles, artefacts, and livelihoods. It acts as a digital archive preserving tribal heritage.

  • Adi Haat (Online Marketplace): Initially linked with TRIFED, this e-marketplace enables direct consumer access to tribal artisans’ products, encouraging sustainable incomes and wider market reach.

In its first stage, collaboration with 15 state TRIs
